SFGovTV and SFGovTV2, San Francisco's Cable Channels 26 and 78, provide the City and County of San Francisco access to quality government programming. SFGovTV and SFGovTV2 cablecast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

SFGovTV provides an archive of selected meetings that have occurred during the past year. Video on Demand lets you watch these programs at your convenience.

SFGovTV Cable Channel 26 ...the Government Channel
Programming produced by SFGovTV includes LIVE gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Board of Supervisors' meetings and their respective Committees, LIVE gavel-to-gavel coverage of numerous City Commissions, Up to date coverage of the Mayor's Press Conferences and other governmental meetings and events. SFGovTV also displays municipal information and public service announcements with computer-generated text and graphic screens.

SFGovTV2 Cable Channel 78 … the City Channel
SFGovTV2 is the citizen centric channel that gives you more original programming and provides information on city events, city services, and city life. Take a journey through the city’s neighborhoods and experience its culture with programs that highlight the unique character of San Francisco. SFGovTV2 showcases the work of city departments and the employees that make the city move. Plus get more in-depth coverage of what’s going on at City Hall. The objectives for the channel are:

  • Provide information about programs and services offered by city departments, agencies, boards, and commissions
  • Expand citizen's awareness of government and its decision making process
  • Enhance existing public information by using cable television as a public information tool
  • Provide programming of interest to the citizens that will inform, educate and enlighten, as well as encourage
  • participation in government services, activities and decision making.
